In 2016, two restless Chinese young people ANNA and Rose founded the AMEXI brand, which is dominated by wooden products. They made watches from common wood in life, which has a different charm.

Since the brand was founded in 2016, it has been following the principle of environmental protection. All wooden watches are created by recycling and regenerating wood, ensuring environmental protection and hypoallergenic performance. Because the material selection is special, it has attracted many young people who love curiosity to pay attention to this brand.

Each watch tells a story, which means that the wood on the wrist or bezel has life. It is precisely because of the sentiment of cherishing old things and the spirit of innovation that old wood can be integrated with watches and bloom with unique value.

The design of watches is mainly simple and generous. Whether it is men's or women's watches, the design is very simple and clear, and the matching clothes are also simple and elegant. Compared with other products, wood is more suitable for summer. It not only looks unique but also has good air permeability. One problem we encountered in the production of wooden watches is the extremely high scrap rate. Metal watches are made by molds. With standard molds, large-scale production of hundreds of thousands of watches at a time can also ensure accurate dimensions. But wooden watches are different. They can only be made one by one by manual polishing. During the storage and production process, "breathing" wood is very susceptible to deformation due to temperature and humidity. Sometimes, after repeated improvements, the watch is made into a finished product, but the dial naturally cracks when it is just left there.

In order to solve this problem, we added another process after the watch was initially made, using spraying and painting to block moisture and "shape" the watch. At the same time, control the scrap rate from the source and try to choose logs with good material and not easy to deform. After such treatment, the watch will not deform from the factory in Shenzhen with a temperature of more than 10 degrees to the European and American countries with a temperature of minus 10 degrees.

At present, AMEXI has built a supply chain from design, assembly, polishing to warehousing and shelf. With a complete inventory of raw materials, it takes an average of 15 days for a watch to go from design to factory.

Compared with mass-produced metal watches, the cost of wooden watches is actually higher in labor costs. Unable to compete with other watch brands in terms of cost, brands turn to design to find premium space. At present, AMEXI is equipped with dedicated designers to collect popular elements in overseas markets, study the colors and materials that overseas buyers like, and then produce drawings and make samples. In a year, the entire team has designed more than 50 styles in total, and gradually found a set of rules in sales.

In addition, AMEXI is also trying to develop mid-to-high-end products. For example, we recently launched a wooden metal watch, which adds metal elements to the wood material. The price is higher than that of ordinary wooden watches, catering to those who are keen on wooden watches and pursue identity and status.
